Thank you for hosting our civil partnership- everyone loved the house and had a wonderful day
P & S – Mablethorpe (May 2012)
Beautifully restored and preserved 17th century thatched manor house gives a wonderful opportunity to learn how people lived in the past. Audio guide takes through the house and grounds. Very friendly and enthusiastic volunteers made it a very enjoyable visit

My sister and I visited Alford August Bank Holidays. Tucked behind the Manor House is an agricultural Museum where the very helpful attendants are only to willing to discuss the numerous artefacts on display. These are largely old farming equipment including a threshing machine, seed riddlers, a still air incubator for eggs etc. The Manor itself whilst atmospheric with a lovely walled garden which is well tended has not as many things inside. It does have a lovely tearoom though with local produce. The House has been beautifully restored, weekends are best when they often have craft events.

This is a wonderful piece of our collective heritage and judging by the number of people moving to the US from this part of the world, probably part of the US Heritage as well. It has been wonderfully restored , full of interesting features and looked after by some committed and friendly volunteers, who generously shared their knowledge. The display in the barn was first class.
Alford and the surrounding area need a hub, an attraction which will draw tourists into the area and inject some life back into the town as it rapidly fades away.
Well worth a visit, take time out to walk around Alford and appreciate its former glory.

I just had to let you know what a fantastic time my family had last week; we attended the Romeo and Juliet performance which had us rolling in our seats with laughter and also dabbing the odd tear away. Your setting was ideal for the event and even though we had to go inside the marque rather than have an outdoor performance this did not detract from the atmosphere of the event .A great success and we look forward to Twelfth Night.
Best Regards,

At The Manor House in January 2008, we received a telephone call requesting information for booking a wedding for 2009 as a result of the customer seeing our website. They had no idea where Alford is but thought the Manor House as a wedding venue plus accommodation readily availble within easy access was perfect. Thank you for doing such a professional job on providing such a valuable facility not just for the Manor House but Alford as well.
Thanks

Dear Sir
Lindsay and I would like to thank your manager and staff for working
so hard to make Lindsay's birthday celebrations such an enjoyable
evening, on New Years Eve.
Many guests commented to us what a fantastic time they had and what
a superb venue the Manor House was for the occasion.
Thank you once again. Yours Faithfully,

I am writing to thank you for inviting
our children to take part in the Education Day which took place
last Wednesday.
I received tremendous positive feedback from both children and the
staff who accompanied them. The children enjoyed all the activities
and many mentioned how much they enjoyed wash day! I am sure their
parents would be impressed.
It is brilliant to see the Manor House being used so well in the
town and I look forward to a long and positive relationship being
developed with the School.
Please pass on our thanks to your staff and volunteers.
Best wishes,

Dear Mrs Blair-Manning
I just wanted to write and personally thank you for your help with
the Carol Concert Evening last Saturday evening. Marilyn and I would
like to congratulate you on the wonderful appearance of the Manor
House and the superb refreshments provided for us, which all contributed
to a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Thank you again for making the event such a success and I hope that
you enjoyed it as much as we did.
