The historic 400-year-old Alford Manor House offers a unique wedding venue. The house and tea room are closed for your wedding day, so you have exclusive use of the house, gardens, and the spacious marquee.
The rooms you use and the marquee are a blank canvas for you to design your theme for your celebrations. You arrive along the red carpet into the entrance hall with its spectacular fireplace, which is an ideal place to meet and greet.
The marquee will hold up to 100 people dependant upon catering requirements and the rooms in the house give one the opportunity to get away from the noise.
The walled garden offers security for children, lawns for games and plentiful seating for conversation in peaceful surroundings, remembering again that you have exclusive use of the gardens.
The bar in an old kitchen is full of character and offers a splendid range of drinks. We are pleased to arrange for your special tipple to be made available. Drinks can be served after the ceremony on the terrace in the walled garden.
For your special day, please select from the following options:
- Your Wedding Ceremony followed by the Wedding Reception
- Your Wedding Ceremony in the walled garden or in the ceremony room
- Your Wedding Reception in the marquee with use of the garden and house
The charge is £400+VAT for the wedding ceremony. A further fee is payable directly to the local authority for the services of the registrar. In addition, you may wish to book a Bar Extension until midnight £100 (Permission for temporary change to license).
All weddings are unique and individually planned by the couple in conjunction with our wedding coordinator. Please contact Alford Manor House by email or phone, if you would like to visit the house to discuss your Wedding Ceremony and/or Reception. Our new venue together with our walled garden, will offer an all year round venue for weddings and other social gatherings.
Whilst the Manor House provides the venue and help with planning the day, you will need to arrange your own decorations and music. We can provide catering – menus are available that can be tailored to your needs, or you can use your own caterers.
